Green Canyon Boat Trip From Manavgat

You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning by minibus, midibus or bus depending on the number of people. The vehicles are comfortable and your guide gives a brief information about the plan of the day during the journey. You will embark on a pleasant journey towards the Green Canyon.

After a journey of about 45 minutes, you arrive at Oymapınar Dam. In this area where you feel the peace of nature among the pine trees, you will be directed to the point where the boats depart. The view over the dam is a great start to a canyon adventure.

On the Green Canyon tour, you will be welcomed by 2 catamarans and one of 13 double-deck wooden boats. These boats have a capacity of 70 to 110 people. Your guide separates your group according to your language preferences and directs them to your boat. He will guide you throughout the day and give you information about the beauties of the canyon.

While the lower floor of the boats offers a shaded area, the upper floor provides a cool environment in hot weather thanks to the tarpaulins. On the lower level you can sit comfortably in the opposite seating groups; on the upper level you can sit on chairs and enjoy the wide view. Both levels offer a 360-degree panoramic view. If you prefer to sunbathe, the area at the front of the boats is for you! The boats also have a bar, restrooms and changing rooms. You can benefit from soft drinks such as cola, fanta, sprite, soda, water, tea and coffee offered throughout the day free of charge.

When the boat sets off, the green of the pine trees and the unique nature of the canyon blend together. You will have the opportunity to photograph these beauties as you head towards the Grand Canyon. After traveling about 8 nautical miles, you reach one of the most impressive points of the canyon. Here you can see the dam lake and the spring waters that feed the Manavgat River.

The boat docks at the platform in the middle of the canyon and offers you a 45-minute swimming break. The water in the reservoir is warmer than the sea water. Even at the beginning and end of the summer season, you can swim easily thanks to this temperature.

After a swimming break in the Grand Canyon, boats take you to a restaurant located on the canyon. Here you will be served a buffet meal consisting of 23 different dishes prepared daily. You can choose from soups, salads, appetizers and main courses such as rice, pasta, meatballs, chicken or fish. Drinks during the meal are also free of charge. You can relax in the peaceful atmosphere of the canyon while enjoying the open buffet. The lunch break lasts approximately 1 hour.

After dinner, the boat sails towards the Small Canyon. Here you will have a swimming and fishing break for about 1 hour. If you want to try fishing, fishing rods and bait are provided for you. You can catch fish species such as trout, mirror carp and eels up to 20-30 kilos. However, the fish you catch are released back into the lake. If you prefer swimming, a pleasant swimming experience awaits you in the clear waters of the canyon.

At around 15:00 your boat will return to the starting point. You will be directed to the vehicles waiting for you here. After about 45 minutes of travel, you will reach your hotel between 16:00-16:30. You will complete your tour with the peaceful atmosphere of the canyon and the unforgettable memories you have experienced throughout the day.
